Make front wheels turn to the same direction simultaneously
Center link has four assemble positions. Usually one hole on each side connects to left and right side rod a’ssy. Ball socket on both ends connects to pitman arm and idler arm. In order to make front wheels turn to the same direction simultaneously, it needs many components. Every component has its special function, and center link can ensure front left and right wheels have the same movement.
Based on auto steering system’s design features, sometimes center link will be damaged and needs to be changed. If cars damage steering or suspension parts, they should be changed soon. It is very dangerous if link ends are broken; this will cause car cannot be driven. Damaged parts may interfere balance of steering link, and will accelerate damage of other parts, causing steering link parts including center link to fail early. This will also make tires wear off excessively.
